1. Introduction

At VietnamDentalGuide.com, our mission is to bring transparency and safety to the dental tourism industry in Vietnam. This "Terms of Audit" document outlines the rigorous methodology we use to evaluate, verify, and rank the dental clinics listed on our directory. Our goal is to provide international patients with objective data to make informed healthcare decisions.

2. Independence & Integrity (Zero "Pay-to-Rank" Policy)

We maintain a strict separation between our editorial content and commercial partnerships.

  • Rankings cannot be bought: No clinic can pay to improve their audit score or ranking position on our "Best Dentists" lists.
  • Objective Criteria: Rankings are calculated based on data points such as verified patient reviews, facility standards, and specialist credentials.
  • Transparency: If a clinic has a sponsored placement (advertisement), it will be clearly labeled as "Sponsored" or "Ad" to distinguish it from organic rankings.

3. The 5-Point Audit Criteria

To be listed as a "Verified Facility," a clinic must undergo our initial screening process. Our audit evaluates clinics based on the following five core pillars:

A. Clinical Safety & Sterilization (30%) We verify that the clinic adheres to international sterilization protocols (such as CDC or OSHA guidelines).

  • Use of Class B Autoclaves for instrument sterilization.
  • Single-use protocols for needles, gloves, and bibs.
  • Cleanliness of operating rooms and reception areas.

B. Doctor Credentials & Expertise (25%) We manually verify the qualifications of the medical team.

  • Licensing: Verification of practicing certificates issued by the Vietnam Ministry of Health.
  • Specialization: Check for specialized training (e.g., Master’s degrees, PhDs, or certificates from international boards like ITI, ICOI) specifically for complex procedures like Implants or Veneers.
  • Experience: Minimum years of practice required for senior specialists.

C. Technology & Facilities (20%) We assess the investment in modern diagnostic and treatment technology.

  • Availability of on-site CBCT (Cone Beam CT) scanners for implants.
  • CAD/CAM technology for same-day porcelain teeth.
  • Modern dental chairs and pain-management equipment.

D. Patient Experience & English Proficiency (15%) For international visitors, communication is key.

  • Language: Assessment of the English fluency of doctors and support staff.
  • Service: Response time to inquiries, airport pickup services, and warranty policies.
  • Reviews: Aggregation of verified patient feedback from Google, Facebook, and our own platform.

E. Cost Transparency (10%)

  • Clinics must provide a clear, fixed price list for standard procedures.
  • No hidden fees or "foreigner pricing" policies.

4. Data Collection Methods

Our data is gathered through a combination of:

  1. Site Visits: Our "Mystery Shopper" team or official auditors visit clinics to inspect facilities and hygiene standards.
  2. Public Records: Verification of licenses against government databases.
  3. Patient Feedback: Collecting and verifying reviews from patients who have completed treatment.
  4. Clinic Submissions: Detailed questionnaires filled out by the clinic regarding their equipment and staff.

5. Reputation Score Calculation

On our website, you may see a "Reputation Score." This is a dynamic metric calculated automatically by our system based on:

  • Conversion Quality: The volume of genuine inquiries and bookings the clinic receives.
  • Patient Satisfaction: Average star rating and total review count.
  • Facility Grade: Points awarded for verified amenities (e.g., ISO certification, parking, warranties).

6. Updates and Re-evaluation

The dental landscape changes rapidly. We commit to:

  • Quarterly Reviews: Updating pricing and doctor lists every 3 months.
  • Re-Audit: Triggering a re-audit if we receive significant negative feedback about a specific facility.

7. Delisting Policy

Vietnam Dental Guide reserves the right to remove any clinic from our directory immediately if we discover:

  • Evidence of medical malpractice or negligence.
  • Loss of medical license.
  • Falsification of doctor credentials or reviews.
  • Unethical pricing practices (bait-and-switch).

8. Contact Us regarding Audits

If you are a patient who believes a clinic does not meet these standards, or a clinic representative wishing to update your audit file, please contact our Compliance Team at: audit@vietnamdentalguide.com.
